So I got into the office this morning looking to hitup some WICKED Photoshoppery, but that totally was not the case……
well a little back story: Yesterday my brother’s computer crashed and it was stuck in a boot loop and all that good stuff (ya good stuff!)… so yesterday i did the base reformat because the OS was junk and ended up reverting him back to XP (which now his computer runs smooter), then I decided to hit up a friend’s Surf Shop…. so we bounced.
NEXT DAY (i.e TODAY)
Get into the office this morning, nothing appears to be a miss. start up my computers as the JR usually does, go over to the brother’s office and start with the installs on his computer. First thing video drivers, start install walk away. Head back to my office and start with emails and what nots. About 15mins pass, walk over to my brother’s office, his computer ready for restart. Began restart and then had a really weird super minute power blip and when the computer was at the load screen, bam corrupted video card showing artifacts like crazy … then the computer BSOD and hooray corrupt OS AGAIN. So i said F this and did another reinstall.
As the reformat was going through I went back to my office to finish doing my what nots and then laid into what was going to be a wicked CS3 sessh (I personally dont like cs4, ya ya I know… no really I do)… so I finished up my a few emails (my last for the day to be exact), opened up photoshop and then boom another mini power blip (shouldn’t have been an issue since i have a battery backup)… but then I was faced with photoshop seizing on me (never has in 8months)… I end task and desktop loads then boom i lose all my icons, and i’m like great just awesome (weird thing was mouse was fully functional, but i just had nothing on the desktop to function)… power down, windows loads: yes load normally you dirty whore (verbatim out of my mouth)… windows screen… just about to the login screen….. BOOOOM RESET.
At this point i’m like dont fuck me, not today… so NOT in the mood.
So then I waited… AGAIN!… windows load screen… almost to login… BOOOOM!!!!! BLUE SCREEN O DEATH… SHIT DAM MOTHER F’er!!!!!!!
OK OK… wait just one minute, this is not happening to who… THE JR!
Bust out the diagnostic disk and then 48mins later no hardware issues (thought so)
try one more time to boot into windows. Nope. NADA AQUI!!!!
I OFFICIALLY GOT JACKED!!!!!!! (well only about 80% worth since I only lost my outlook for some personal emails and really nicely setup folders and was cognitive enough to atleast backup important stuff off my DT the day before)
*sidenote: EMAILING IS BEST DONE FROM A LAPTOP, since with most laptops you can’t get really comfortable and be lackadaisical about doing the business.
So to keep a long story somewhat shorter… I ended up having to reformat my computer also, which normally wouldn’t have been bothersome… except for the fact that i left half of my warez at home and was simply stuck with loading windows (back to XP since its way more stable and I was kinda over vista even though I had an awesome modded version of ultimate… TRE’Tweaks) and of that software was: Photoshop, Fancy text Editor, and crysis warhead (and actually i am kinda urked that i lost my 75% complete Crysis Save).
So in short (well wasn’t the last paragraph suppose to sum it up? rhetorical… come on) from watching a JACKING and then getting JACKED (and all of this not in the -OFF Variety mind you)… i felt despondent towards everything for the rest of the day and proceeded to sulk and un-enthusiastically surf the net and re-setup my desktop, all the time leaving passion project of a blog in the shambles that you see right now… O WELL!
CONSTRUCTION UPDATE coming in the next days and it will be like an article in builders magazine or something.
the JR is done….. ….. ….. ya nothing witty-esq today.
