DAY# My Brain Hurts

  • So I yesterday I began my journey of starting on my own self hosted blog.
  • Found a free host that doesnt add ADs to the site (which is nice since I have my own sponsors, such as itch cream and gynecologist)
  • I realized that a human only has so much brain capacity for certain subjects… and as far as Web Creation goes I’m almost completely exhausted.
    • But as a side note it was somewhat relaxing, but I dont think I would have the dexterity to do this as profession
  • I am really stuck on the following:
    • SIMPLE v. COOL FACTOR
    • FULL POST v. SHORTs
    • ADSENSE v. NO ADSENSE
  • This current iteration of my blog  has come to look somewhat like a cluster fuck… but it definitely has not detracted from the premise of the blog being RANDUMB and about the JR.
  • I don’t know when the new blog will come, but dammit will be a quarter of the most visually appealing thing the JR has seen (yes… it maybe more than a quarter for you, since we understand the JR’s affect on weople ; also the JR feels that visually appealing is somewhat in short supply or maybe he’s just sleepy)

In other news… have you ever come up with an idea and then watched someone else run with it?

    Me tooooo! And where’s the freaking stylesheet? And things like: External files are able to be cached. OR External files are flexible. WTF!?

    I wonder if you (not you you but a person) started from the beginning how many years would it take to learn most of this web designing business? 20? 10?
    Unlike you, I think I would actually like it… if I could ever learn gibberish.

    ya i have pretty much given up on this blog building thing taking over my life.

    I mean last week when i started (this site at least) i was averaging 6+ hours a day messing with it, learning css php jquery yada blah blah…. and now i’m doing it more as a a leisure activity (basically if i come across something cool or an idea hits me… i’ll mess with it)… and this site is mostly practice since i’m in the process of getting a new webhost and also my very own permanent domain name.

    about the last part of your comment …. that blog you referred to is not me but definitely send me the link for it sounds interesting.
